When is the End?

I believe we are very near the end of this world, very close to the time when Jesus will return... within about 10 years. I believe that God has a 6000 year plan, and it is coming to the end of 6000 yrs, that is 2000 years after Jesus died and rose again.

How I first came to understand the 6000 year Plan of God
I came across a comment mentioning that the world will only exist for 6000 yrs. That intrigued me as I had not heard that before. It was based on the week of creation and 2 Peter 3:8 “..one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” and Psalm 90:4 “A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by...” So correlating the creation week, with each 1000 years of history... I thought, well, if the 6000 yrs is right, I wonder when Jesus came to earth. I found that Jesus came around the year 4000 AM, years after creation. So I looked in Genesis, to the 4th day to see what happened then, if it had any correlation with His coming to earth. On the 4th day, God created the sun and moon, to separate the light from the dark. WOW! That is exactly what Jesus did. He came to separate spiritual darkness from spiritual light. He came right on time. “In the fullness of time..” He came within the 4th day. Not into the 5th day. The 5th day the fish were created just like the followers of Jesus would multiply like fish as His followers were fishers of men.
[This was a huge insight for me, something that I had never heard from any other source (this happened in Aug 2017). I have since found others online who had the same insight. I believe God gave me this insight.]

After realizing this, I searched and found this idea was not new.. in fact, during the years before Christ came, the Jews were looking for the Messiah to arrive during that specific 1000 years because they understood the 6000 year plan of God. And according to the days of creation, the Messiah should arrive in the 4th day.
The arrival of the Messiah on the 4th day shows God’s timeline is tied to the days of creation. It is as though the week of creation is a pattern of God’s overall master plan.

Determining exactly where we are in the 6000 years is easiest to do by determining when Jesus was crucified. Jesus entire life was within the 4th day. On the 5th day, God created fish and birds (Christians are to be “fishers” of men through the power of the “Holy Spirit” often represented by a dove.) The “Church Age” began with the birth of the church on Pentecost, which was 50 days after Christ’s resurrection. (He was seen of people over a 40 days period, then told His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit, which came 10 days later on the Feast of Pentecost). Since the church age was in the 5th day, we have a precise (within 50 days) marker of when the last 2000 years started. (However, there is still plenty of debate around the date of Jesus crucifixion. His ministry started in the fall of AD 26 to AD 28, but was His ministry 70 weeks, or 2.5 yrs or 3.5 yrs?). I currently believe that the crucifixion was Nissan 14, 30 AD which falls on a Wednesday. see

God is a God of pattern; not Greek thinking which is linear.
Too often, with our modern Greek thinking, we assume that if God predicted something and it came to pass, that it is done and over with. But this is not the way of God.
The Bible contains many levels, and some deep clues. Understanding patterns are important because they are repeated on varying levels; and because they are repeated we can figure out, by understanding the pattern, how to prepare for what may come next in our linear time world.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

God does not “predict” the future, He “sees” and tells us what is going to happen.

List of why 6000 yrs is almost up
1. Why did God take 6 days to create world, and not 3 or 20? Isaiah 46:10 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient time the things that are not yet done.”
2. In Biblical times, it was commonly believed among the Jews, and early Christians, that at the end of 6000 years of history, Christ would return and reign for 1000 yrs.
3. A Day with the Lord is as a thousand years 90:4, 2 Peter 3:8
4. Rom 8:22 There still remains a “day” of rest (1000 yrs) for God’s people (minute 3:31 other verses)
5. There were about 2000 yrs form Adam to Abraham, from Abraham to Christ, from Christ to now.
6. Passover lamb was kept 4 days before being sacrificed (Christ came on the 4th day, during the last years of the 4th thousand year time period).
7. Hosea 5:15 – 6:2 “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence… After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.”” refers to Jesus returning to heaven after being rejected and crucified. And He will return after 2 days, 2000 yrs.
8. God told Adam he would die in the “day” that he ate of the tree. Adam died within that 1000 yr period. So “day” here refers to 1000 yrs, not a 24 hour day. Gen 2:17  No man lived longer than 1000 yrs

Christ was crucified in the middle of the week, Wednesday (the 4th day), and rose at the end of the Sabbath (the 7th day). Christ came into the world on the 4th day, and will return 2 days later.

Support for Jesus coming on the 4th Day.

There are a number of passages which support Jesus coming on the 4th day.

Gen 1:16-19 on the 4th day of creation "God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night."
This was foretelling Jesus (the greater light) and John the Baptist (the lesser light)
John 1:6-10 John came as a witness to the light (Jesus)
John 3:27-30 John replied... ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ He must become greater; I must become less.”

Abraham offered Issac on the 4th day, on Mount Moriah, the same location where Jesus was crucified. (Gen 22:1-5 one day plus a 3 day journey for Abraham and Isaac). This event pointed to Christ as the sacrificial lamb who was to come. Gen 22:14 “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

This is the most important scriptural evidence. God told the Israelites they were to keep the Passover Lamb and sacrifice it on the 4th day.
Jesus was chosen before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:20, Rev 13:8), and presented to the world on the 4th day.

The Lampstand in the Tabernacle was 7 branches, with 3 branches on either side of the middle light.(Exodus 25:32)
So the middle column light is the 4th candle. It is often the tallest, and Jewish tradition names it the "servant" candle, with which the other candles are lit. The golden lampstand was a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, the light of the world. (John 8:12 NIV)

Jesus arrived to raise Lazarus on the 4th day. (John 11)
After this miracle, the Pharisees decided that Jesus must die (John 11:45-53) Jesus had raised others to life before this, but those people had just died. Raising someone to life on the 4th day was one of the four Messianic Miracles that would prove the Messiah.

Jesus died on the 4th day of the week, ie, the middle of the week (our Wednesday). He did not die on Friday, the 6th day of the week.
Jesus was "cut off from the land of the living" "in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering." (the 4th day is the middle of the week) Daniel 9:26, Isaiah 53:8, Daniel 9:27
Jesus was on the cross for 6 hrs, one hour for each thousand years of man's time on earth.
While Jesus was on the cross, at noon, His 4th hour on the cross, darkness came over the land. (Mark 15:33)
Jesus appeared to Mary and the disciples on the 4th day (first day of the week)

The dimensions of the temple areas correspond to the length of time:
Outer Court where sacrifices occurred – sacrificial system – 1500 yrs (area of surrounding fence is 1500 cubits2)
Holy Place contained the symbols of Christ (shewbread = bread of life; lampstand = light of the world; altar of incense= our intercessor) – time of grace/church age – 2000 yrs (area of Holy Place 20x10x10 cubits)

1948 Israel became a nation – a generation is 40 yrs, or 70 – 80 yrs (Psalm 90:10)

2018 - 2028 would be 70 - 80 years from when Israel became a nation.

No one knows the day or the hour - Matthew 24:36
This verse is THE most often quoted verse, BUT if you are a child of God, children of the light, you are NOT to be in darkness about this day like the rest of the people of the world.

Like labor pains for a pregnant woman – The woman does not know the day or the hour of the birth, but she certainly knows how many months away, and can narrow it with a high degree of accuracy to within a couple weeks. Jesus said “Watch… All these are the beginning of birth pains.”(Matt 24:4-8)

1 Thess 5:1-5
Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2. for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
4. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.  5. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.

“No one knows the day or the hour” was an expression for the “Feast of Trumpets” because, of all the Biblical Feasts, this was the only one that was on the first day of the month. The Hebrews based the first day of the month on the sighting of the moon, which could happen within a couple days. So they did not know exactly when it would happen. From this we can see that Jesus will return on the Feast of Trumpets, which is the first day of the New Year (Civic) on the Hebrew calendar, which happens in the Fall.
1 Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
1 Corr 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The Stars
God named the stars. The stars are God’s, not man’s.
